A union gives the people who actually do the work a say in how their facility operates. Instead of simply reacting to arbitrary decisions coming down from management, employees can sit down with administrators and supervisors to jointly solve problems that affect our jobs and our clients. Some members are not contacting the union to accompany them to meetings which may result in disciplinary action. This your right and is called Weingarten Rights. It is extremely important to take advantage of this right.
